Hi everybody,
I want to use the GET HOURLYINCIDENTSOLARRADATION.scr from the square one web page but couldn't figure out on input variables. What is shading accuracy and shading angles? Do I have to input any data for these? I just tried to run the script without any input but the output was all in zeros for the diffuse and direct radiation.
Your help will be much appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.
Anu

Dear Anu,
The input for the shading.accuracy command is an integer between 0 and 3 - 0 for full accuracy, 3 for low accuracy - Depending on the accuracy, a grid is "set" over each object of the model and a shading analysis is performed for a point in the center of each f=grid's square (full = 25x25 grid, low = 1 pt). As you can imagine, the higher the accuracy, the longer time it takes for the calculations.
The inputs for the shading.angle command are two integers » 2. What the command does is break the sky dome into angular sections - azimuth and altitude angles, defined by the parameters. So if you enter 2 and 2, it means 2 degrees (highest accuracy) for azimuth angles and 2 degree in altitude angle. From the help files: "setting the azi and alt parameters to 10? would result in 36 azimuth sections (360/10) and 9 altitude sections (90/10)".
I hope that helps.
