gbXML & window opacity?

Hi guys!

I exported a simple test model from Revit>>gbXML>>Ecotect, and found that my windows are blocked by the opacity of the wall behind it. If I delete the wall, the windows are fine, so it seems there is no 'hole' in the wall for the windows to exist in. I have the same problem with cutrtain walls. With analyses, no light passes into the rooms, further proving that the walls are blocking the light.

Is there a simple fix for this (maybe in the Revit model) or do I just need to completely redraw my windows in ecotect?

Thanks!

Hi Songya,

In fact, when you export in Ecotect from Revit, you just need to link walls and windows in Ecotect.
Select one wall and all windows on it and click on link. After this, you should see trough your window.

Enjoy,
