Display grid v5.6 in 3d editor - how to turn off

Is it possible to turn off the grid display in the 3d editor and visualize views in version 5.60? this was previously possible in 5.50 in model settings. The grid is extremely distracting, especially for OpenGL renderings.

My workaround is currently to make the grid the same color as the background, but this is a bit of effort especially if my 3d editor background is different than my openGL background.

Hi

It took me a while to figure this one. Under display settings, within the model context tab there is a drop down menu. It will currently say 'Ground Plane' Simply change the drop down to [No Context] and that should do it.

Also a couple of other tasty options in there including compass which I quite like.

In the display settings, simply tick 'Show grid' on or off. See image for reference.

That is for 5.5 only. See my notes above regarding 5.6
