Mechoshade modeling

Good Day All,
I am trying to model a mesh directly in ecotect and assign it a material all from scratch. Actually what I am attempting to create is a (ecoveil) mechoshade. I contacted the mechoshade company and they are going to send me a cut sheet on the material properties such as material and U "value", etc. But my question is how would I actually model such a fine mesh in ecotect? here is a link to what it basically is. http://www.mechoshades.com/ecoveil/ecoveil.pdf

If anyone can come up with a creative way to help me I would really appreciate it.
Regards,
Orlando
