For a step by step intro. on how to setup Radiance please have a look at the following Forum Post -- install & setup of Radiance for ECOTECT and Radiance Control Panel... We do plan on turning this into a tutorial that will be included in the software documentation, but until we get the time to do so, the above forum post is a pretty good guide to getting started with Radiance rendering and ECOTECT etc.
