If you wish to change your licence server to a different computer, you must first return the network licences back to the Ecotect Activation Server. This removes the licences from your current server and makes them available when activating your new server. Follow the steps below for how to change your server:
1. Run the Network Licence Manager locally
To change servers you must first run the Network Licence Manager locally on your existing network licence server. Start the Network Licence Manager and make sure you can answer yes to the question, Is this computer your Network Licence Server ?
2. Start the Activation process
Choose the LICENCE SERVICE tab and click the Update/Deactivate Licence... button to display the Licence Activation Wizard.
3. Choose to Return Licences
Choose the Return a Licence to the Activation Server option to start the transfer process.
4. Select a Licence
The wizard then displays a login prompt together with a list of the licences that have been activated on your server. You must select the item in the list representing the licence(s) you wish to return and then enter the email and password associated with that item.
5. Confirm return of Licence
Make sure the I confirm the returm of this licence item is checked. Pressing Next » will return the licences to the server and display a success message, or an error and explanation.
You must do this whole process for each of the activated licences on your server.
Once you have returned all your licences to the Ecotect Activation Server you can then setup your new server and re-active your licences.
